Healthy Caffeine-free Diet Frappe (recipe)
It’s summer here in the sunny Balkans and the temperatures are rising quickly and mercilessly!
Yeah, it would be very nice if we could just get the whole season off and spend it on the beach with a glass of caffeine free Frappuccino and lots and lots of melons!
But here we are, most of us working at our jobs and trying to survive the hot weather with chilled summer drinks on the rocks and healthy homemade ice cream! Here is one of my most favorite vegan ice cream recipes:
And I decided to share with you my new favorite summer drink – the Caffeine-free Diet Frappe! Most people like energizing their bodies and minds during the summer with a nice ice cold Frappuccino. But I ditched the caffeine long ago and never looked back! My reasons were numerous, starting with being too stressed and anxious and having a long-term issue with IBS, insomnia, even having tinnitus episodes due to sleep deprivation. But this is a story for another time.
I know caffeine has many benefits, especially if consumed in reasonable quantities. But some of us with caffeine intolerance have to look for other options during the summer, like this decaf frappe coffee recipe with chicory root extract.
What are the chicory root extract benefits?
Chicory root coffee is one of the best natural substitutes for caffeine. The herb has numerous health benefits – from boosting the immune system, detoxing and strengthening the liver and gallbladder, improves the digestion, soothing the nervous system, and many more!
Chicory coffee can be an excellent addition to any healthy weight-loss diet plan! It has diuretic properties and stimulates the fat burning process. Combined with a proper meal plan and some exercises, chicory can help you shred that annoying extra weight!
