Healthy Desserts with Bulgarian Yogurt
Previously, we have explored all the wonderful health benefits of Bulgarian yogurt and how to prepare it easily at home!
Now let’s see what we can cook with this delicious goodness! Remember that real homemade yogurt without any artificial substances can last in the fridge for a few days. So, here I will share with you some delicious healthy desserts with Bulgarian yogurt that will boost your immune system and recover your gut flora!
Let’s dig in!

- 1 cup Milk dairy or vegan
- 1 Tbsp. Honey
- 1 cup Bulgarain yogurt (see recipe in notes)
- 4 tsps. gelatin
- homemade jam (see recipe in notes)
Ingredients

- Mix the gelatin with some pure lukewarm water.
- Stir and wait for it to bulge up.
- In the meantime, heat the milk to body temperature and add the honey.
- Stir well to melt the bee product. Remember – if the liquid is hotter than body temperature, it will destroy the healthy ingredients in the honey!
- Next, take the milk off the heat and mix it with the gelatin. Let the mixture cool down completely
- Take the yogurt and whisk it to remove any lumps.
- Now start slowly pouring the milk while still stirring with a fork (or a whisk).
- When the mixture is fully blended, transfer it to small dessert cups and place them in the fridge for the panna cotta to set.
- Before serving, turn the cups upside down to release the dessert and garnish with some homemade jam!

- 1 cup Bulgarian yogurt (see notes)
- 4 Tbsps. homemade sugar-free jam (see notes)
- 1 tsp. Cinnamon
- 2-3 tsps. gelatin
Ingredients

- Cover the gelatin with some lukewarm water to bulge up.
- Next, heat it in a double boiler until it melts and becomes transparent. Leave it aside to cool down.
- Mix the yogurt with the jam and the cinnamon, and blend them well. When the temperature of the gelatin is close to the yogurt’s, add it to the dairy mixture.
- Stir well to blend the ingredients.
- Pour the mixture into 2 dessert cups (mine were with 140 ml capacity) and place the cups in the fridge for about 20 minutes to set.

- Place the yogurt in a blender and stir.
- Next, add the remaining ingredients and blend again. That's it!
- Make a fresh batch daily for one week and take a 10-day break.
- Then, you can repeat the process for one more week! It is best to combine this delicious yogurt dessert with regular exercising and a balanced diet plant!
