Keto Chocolate Truffles Recipe (Healthy Keto Bliss Balls)
Today’s recipe is something I am sure you will be making over and over again!
I know chocolate is a real temptation when it comes to eating healthy and healthy weight management.
So I thought I should share another HFLC friendly recipe with cacao to satisfy your sweet tooth when following the keto diet plan.

Are chocolate truffles good for you?
To answer this question, we have to take a look at what chocolate truffles are made of.
Unfortunately, most store-bought sweet truffles are not that healthy at all! They usually contain a wide variety of unhealthy compounds – a lot of sugar, trans fats, preservatives, artificial ingredients, and so on.
So, here’s my solution – an easy recipe for chocolate truffles with healthy and low carb-approved ingredients!
How to make keto truffles?
My low carb chocolate truffles recipe suggestion is very easy and quick to make!
All you need is some mascarpone, sesame tahini (or almond butter, hazelnut butter, sunflower butter, etc.), raw cacao powder, melted coconut oil (or cocoa butter), coconut flour, and a keto-friendly sweetener (I used erythritol, but you can swap with stevia, monk fruit, xylitol, etc.). The detailed quantities and instructions are n the recipe card below.
After everything is fully blended, you can form the low carb bliss balls and cover them with some more cacao powder.
And that’s it!
Do these chocolate truffles need to be refrigerated?
Yes! The low temperature of the fridge will maintain their shape (due to the saturated fats in coconut butter which become solid below 76ºF/24º C) and protects the food from spoiling for longer and suppresses the growth of malevolent bacteria.
Will these chocolate truffles melt at room temperature?
As mentioned previously, the coconut butter will keep these easy low carb truffles in shape as long as the room temperature is below 76ºF/24º C. If you wish to make them more durable, you can substitute the coconut oil with cocoa butter – it’s melting point is around 95°F/36°C.
Can the chocolate truffles be frozen?
Yes, especially if you are making them during the summer. Just take them out, wait a bit for them to soften before serving, and consume with pleasure!
Are these chocolate truffles vegan?
Are chocolate truffles halal?
I am not a specialist in the Muslim dietary laws, but as far as I am informed, the haram foods (forbidden) usually concern meat (especially pork), the processing of meat, and alcohol.
From these I can assume that my chocolate bliss balls should be halal.
But if you are worried some of the ingredients (especially the sweeteners since they are types of sugar alcohols), check with a specialist on the matter! Also, there is an interesting discussion on Quora you can read.
