Now, I could argue that tarator is a Bulgarian dish, well, since we are the land of yogurt. But it is also really similar to the Greek tzatziki and other delicious meals from our region. So, let’s say tarator is a traditional Balkan dish that is super easy to make, super yummy, healthy, and of course… low carb!
To make this keto summer meal as authentic as possible, it is best to use Bulgarian yogurt (duh!). But it would be rare if you have it in your local supermarket, so you can either make it on your own or just substitute with Greek yogurt or even kefir.
