The Biggest Mistake in Your Gratitude Practice

Gratitude is such an amazing practice to have and it is definitely worth turning into a habit. There are so many proven benefits to cultivate an attitude of gratitude as a complete mindset shift. However, there is one huge mistake most people make that prevent them from getting the most out of this exercise. For example, you may be trying to expand your ability to generate abundance, and gratitude is an integral part of the spiritual path to prosperity. And in order for us to get to that high vibration of abundance, we need to feel that state of being, that energetic level of joy, light, love, and gratitude.
But the biggest mistake in that endeavor is to… say what you are grateful for, but in a mechanical, non-emotional, almost robotic way – just to get the task done. To take the full advantage of the practice, you need to feel the appreciation in your heart. So, how to overcome this?
My simple solution is to choose 3 things I am thankful for that are current and quite small. This way I get out of the habitual listing of things I should be grateful for, and I am able to connect to the feeling of appreciation more easily.
Try it out now and feel the difference! Think about 3 small things from today or yesterday that made your day and feel them in your heart. Someone gave you a compliment? Hubby brought dinner on the way home? A stranger let you switch lanes in rush hour?
