So, New Year’s Eve is coming and we all like to make resolutions and to make wishes we hope to come true in the following twelve months. And I remembered a ritual that I found to be very interesting. I saw it in an episode of the Modern Family TV show. One of the main characters (Gloria) described that she had a tradition to make wishes as the clock strikes midnight on the 1st January.

At first I thought it was a joke that is part of the script. But I was curious enough to do some research and lo and behold… I found out it was a real thing! Christians around the world (especially from Latin America) are actually doing this! So, I decided to share it for it is easy and fun to do. And I don’t think that one’s religious affiliation matters here. I know that the single intention is often the most important part of a successful manifestation.

The ritual is very simple. Take 12 grapes and keep them until midnight on the 1st January. Take one grape for each stroke of the clock and as you eat it make a wish. Every wish is dedicated to one month of the coming year. But I think all twelve can be for the whole year, for example – better health. We want good health throughout the year, don’t we!

I told you it was simple.

And this year I decided to give it a shot and I am really excited to see what happens in 2015!

Have you prepared your wishes?
